Cracking the Code

Embark on a coding journey as we present a stimulating hackathon challenge! Tackle real-world problems that demand innovative solutions.

Innovate to elevate

Address issues that benefit our clients and our client's customer. The most innovative solutions not only stand a chance to reshape the way we work but also to win exciting prizes.

Prizes Await the Pioneers

Whether you're a coding virtuoso or a rising star, your inventive solutions could earn you recognition, valuable experiences, and the chance to win a bounty.

About Hackathon

Welcome to the Ollion Remote Hackathon, a 6-dayr internal-only virtual event that promotes creativity, diversity and inclusion. This event embodies our commitment to fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Join us to code, collaborate, and celebrate the spirit of innovation. This unique event encourages the development of creative applications or solutions to address current client needs, tools that will benefit Ollion, or to create something truly unique and differentiated that ultimately benefits humanity. Let the coding commence!

The Tracks

Participants will have the opportunity to create projects based on their choice of two tracks!

Just a bit more detail

AI Ascend - Snakes and Ladders

At re:Invent, we created a physical snakes and ladders game for attendees to play to gain insight into the complexities of AI. We want you to bring this to life on our website. The initial code has been written, so you have a head start.

AI Hack - Free Style Hacking

Participants are encouraged to create something unique, differentiated and interesting based on your experience working with clients. The examples below are just that examples. Let your creativity flow.

Data Insights

Participants will explore how AI can enhance decision-making, automate processes, and unlock the full potential of data-driven strategies.

Cloud Solutions

Find ways to accelerate our work and increase our margin. One example is a MAP Assess Accelerator to standardize and speed up how we do the initial assessment of new workloads.

Engineering Services

Build AI systems to reduce effort when handling tickets, such as looking up error codes or asking AI for remediation options before a human sees them.

Who can participate

Whether you're a coding wizard, a design maestro, or someone passionate about innovative solutions, this event is for you. There are no skill or technology requirements. Everyone is welcome to participate, add their perspective, and flex their AI prompt writing skills.

Individual

Whether you're a coding virtuoso or a solo innovator, we've got you covered! Join us, and we'll either create a team that aligns with your skills and passion or seamlessly add you to an existing one. It's your chance to shine solo while being part of a collaborative and innovative journey.

Team

Embark on this thrilling coding journey with your dream team! Team participation in the hackathon offers a dynamic and collaborative experience. Rally your colleagues, bring together diverse skills, and form a team that can tackle the challenges head-on. Extra points for a cross-practice and global teams!

Participation Rules

Eligibility

  • Participants must be from Ollion and should have Ollion org email ID.

Team Composition

  • Teams can have a maximum of five members.
  • We encourage (strongly) that at least one member be of a different geography and/or practice. Special judging consideration will be given to a team that has been able to collaborate across geographical and practice areas.
  • Each participant can be a member of only one team.

Project Guidelines

  • Projects must be original and developed during the remote hackathon.
  • While participants can come with ideas, working on existing projects is not allowed.
  • Project code must be submitted via the supplied Git Repo
    • Ensure your code is placed within the specified folder.
    • Name the folder following the format: "hkt-ollion-<teamname>"

Submission Deadline

  • All projects must be submitted on GitHub by 12 PM on Thursday, April 11th even if they are incomplete.

Hacking Environment

For those that want it, we'll provide access to a sandbox subscription through their hackathon resource groups. You will be able to create an Azure Open AI resource/key. Since that is the case we will leave creating OpenAI keys from within Azure to the participants for practice. Please see link here for documentation.

Join us in this virtual coding adventure and unleash your creativity!
